Lally 02

The Lally Management Center PC Lab, housed in the basement of Lally, Room 02, contains 20 Bitwise multi-media equipped computers, connected to a file server. All of these PCs are connected to the campus network. Printing facilities at this site include an Apple LaserWriter printer and an HP LaserJet printer plus access to RCS printers at other locations. You must have a Rensselaer userid in order use the printers.

Windows Software, available from the server, includes:

        Access - database program
        Excel - spreadsheet program
        FTP - file transfer utility
        Maple V - symbolic math program
        MS Visual C++ - C++ programming enviornment
        Mosaic - Internet browsing program
        Netscape - RPInfo browsing program       
        Telnet - remote host access program 
        Word - word processing program

DOS Software, available from the server, includes:

        dbase IV - database program
        Lotus - spreadsheet program
        PCwrite - word processing program
        PCTeX - text processing program
        Pspice - Electronic Circuit Design 
        Quick C - C programming compiler
        Statgraphics - statistical software
        Turbo C++ - C++ programming environment
        Turbo Pascal - Pascal programming environment
        WordPerfect - word processing program

This lab is open during scheduled hours. Don't forget to check for any special hours which might apply to the beginning of each semester, mid-semester breaks, or holidays. Classes are sometimes scheduled for this lab. This lab can be scheduled for class use by calling the registrar's office at 276-6655.
