Version 2.7.1 of the Lynx text-based WWW browser is now available on RCS. The new version includes updates for recent changes in HTML, as well as better support under various platforms.
To use the new version of Lynx, enter the following commands at a UNIX prompt:
setup lynx-new
lynx
Lynx 2.7.1 will become the default on Thursday, September 11, and you will no longer have to set it up. You will still be able to access the current version of Lynx, Version 2.5, until October 10 by entering the command setup lynx-old at a UNIX prompt before running the program.
