New Version of AcroRead PDF File Viewer Available on RCS

Version 3.0 of AcroRead, a viewer for displaying and printing PDF files, is now available on RCS. The new version of the package allows for linking other documents using the WWW, has improved performance, and fixes some printing problems to PostScript printers.

To use the new version of AcroRead now, enter the following commands from a UNIX prompt:

	setup acroread-new
        acroread &

AcroRead 3.0 will become the default on Monday, May 12, and you will no longer have to set it up. You will still be able to access the current version of AcroRead, Version 2.1, until June 12 by entering the command setup acroread-old from a UNIX prompt before running the program.

If you have any further questions about using AcroRead, please contact the consultants at the ACS Help Desk locations, or direct electronic mail to consult@rpi.edu.
