In November 1997, we announced that Mark 17 of the Numerical Algorithms Group, or NAG, library was available on all RCS machines, and that Mark 16 of the library would remain available until March 1998.
As of last Friday, March 13, Mark 16 of the library was indeed depermitted; NAG users should now use NAG 17D.
To access this NAG library, enter the following commands from a UNIX prompt, using the one appropriate to your machine type, and substituting the actual name of your program for myprog.f:
IBM systems: f77 myprog.f -L/usr/local/lib -lnag -lblas SGI and Sun systems: f77 myprog.f -L/usr/local/lib -lnag
If you have any further questions about using the NAG libraries, please contact Scientific Programming Consultant Mike Kupferschmid at ext. 6558, or direct electronic mail to kupfem@rpi.edu. You may also contact the consultants at the ACS Help Desk locations, or direct electronic mail to consult@rpi.edu.
