IRIS Explorer 5.0 Now Available on RCS UNIX Workstations

IRIS Explorer 5.0, the National Algorithms Group (NAG)'s powerful tool for 3D data visualization, animation and manipulation, and for developing customized applications, is now available on all RCS IBM, SGI and SUN UNIX workstations.

New features in IRIS Explorer 5.0 include:

• New interactive demos, many more example maps/templates, new search facilities and improved data input mean it's even easier to develop powerful visualization applications.
• Developers will also find that because of a new internal architecture, better algorithms and the ability to combine modules, IRIS Explorer 5.0 is faster by several orders of magnitude.
• In addition, over 40 new modules give developers even more building blocks for creating customised applications. Two new tools also allow for data input and packaging of applications.

To run IRIS Explorer, enter the following command at a UNIX prompt:

	explorer &

IRIS Explorer 5.0 will become the default version as of Friday, March 15, 2002.
