If you're interested in learning how to create and publish a web page, the Libraries and Information Services will cover the basics in a workshop for members of the Rensselaer community, where participants will use Netscape's Composer in a Windows 95 environment to create a hypertext document and then publish it on the Web. The workshop will also cover the fundamentals of HTML (HyperText Markup Language).
Workshops will be offered from 2:00pm - 4:00pm on the following days:
Thursday, March 4 Friday, March 12 Thursday, March 18
Please note that familiarity with the Internet, navigating the Web, and the Windows operating system is preferred, and that a valid RCSid and password are required. Workshop participants can find course materials on-line at http://www.rpi.edu/About/Navigator/intro_class.html.
If you would like to reserve your place in the PC lab of the Folsom Library, please contact Kevin Bishop at least one day before the class you would like to attend by directing e-mail to bishopk@rpi.edu. Seats are limited, so be sure to sign up early.
