The laptop that will be used for the Fall 2001 Mobile Computing Program will be in the IBM ThinkPad "T" series, but the model is so new that it has not yet been announced. Rensselaer is negotiating with IBM to get you the best technology at the best value.
Watch for a mailing in June, at which time we will announce the laptop package, including your options and the forms you need to return indicating your choice. Current students can check the status of their participation in the program, as well as their options for the fall, via the Student Information System, located at http://sis.rpi.edu. From the SIS Student Menu, select the View Your Laptop Status link.
