As new versions are constantly being tested and moved into place as needed, Server Support Services is currently cleaning up a number of old programs, applications and operating systems in order to make room for new ones.
The operating systems scheduled to be depermitted and then removed include AIX 4.1 and 4.2, Irix 6.2 and 6.3, and Solaris 2.5; users should not be running these operating systems anymore. However, these operating systems will remain depermitted for at least two weeks before being deleted altogether, so SSS staff can briefly restore access to individual users in critical cases.
A current list of the programs and applications that have been -- or are slated to be -- removed and depermitted appears below.

If any programs you're using get depermitted, please contact the Help Desk right away so they can direct you to a current version of the product, or can put in a request to delay the removal of the old application.
