Library Adds New MathSciNet Database

Via the American Mathematical Society, Rensselaer's Libraries now have electronic access to the MathSciNet database, which provides access to Mathematical Reviews (MR) and Current Mathematical Publications (CMP), from 1940 to the present. Over 1600 publications are reviewed in whole or in part for recent contributions to mathematical research, and links exist from article citations to full text of selected subscribed electronic journals, such as those from SIAM.

An Important AMS Browser Notice

Records in MathSciNet use either HTML or PDF format, but PDF format is currently not available for Microsoft Internet Explorer users. However, the AMS is working with Microsoft to resolve the inconsistent way in which Internet Explorer handles PDF code generated from within MathSciNet.
