A Reminder to Check out the ACS and CIS Homepages!

Have a question about your RCS computer account, or your Student Information System (SIS) account? Need to find out what sorts of video, photographic, and technical services are available on campus? Want to learn more about what class reserves are available for a particular course? Or maybe you'd just like to know if Visual C++ is available in the campus labs?

Fear not! You can find the answers to these and many other questions by checking out the Computing & Information Services (CIS) homepage. This site provides a sort of one-stop-shopping location for answers to many of your most frequently-asked questions, with topics ranging from accounts to documentation and training to repairs and maintenance services to Library information resources. The News Flash/Virus Info. link from this page connects you to a list of the most up-to-date notices and other important bulletins, and links you to other sites which contain important anti-virus information and software download capabilities. The CIS page also lets you find out more about the department itself and any CIS-related news and projects, and includes links to staff lists for CIS' various subdepartments.

If you'd like to check out the CIS homepage, simply click on the Computing & Info. Services Home link located under the Computing section of the main RPInfo homepage.

And while you're at it, why not check out Academic Computing Services' homepage, especially if you're in the market for answers to many of your computing-related questions? Just click on the Academic Computing Services link under the Computing section of the main RPInfo homepage; on the resulting page, you'll find links to information about accounts, documentation, printing, upcoming short courses and workshops, lab software and hours, and various computing services, as well as to the latest "What's New" announcements and the on-line version of The Kiosk, CIS' departmental newsletter.

So check out these pages...and why not bookmark them? We think you'll find them to be a big help the next time you're looking for answers!
