As you may have noticed, RPInfo now features a new aesthetic and a new arrangement of its most frequently-used links. Redesigned by Communication and Collaboration Technologies in concert with the main homepage, the RPInfo page adheres to the Web graphic standards established by Rensselaer's Marketing and Media Relations.
We removed the "People & Places" and "Beyond Rensselaer" categories from the main columns, consolidated their links, and placed them more prominently in the tabs near the header. We also created a new "Institute Relations" section and included no less than ten new links throughout the main RPInfo page. The "On the Hill" section continues to offer brief notices and links to important events and news items.
RPInfo's code is carefully written to comply with W3C Web standards to ensure that RPInfo will be accessible to anyone using a Web-enabled device. As a result, RPInfo may not be as "attractive" in some browser versions, such as Netscape 4.x, as it will appear in Netscape 6, Internet Explorer 5.5/6, Opera 6.0, Mosaic, Lynx, or any other browser that properly interprets standard markup. However, only specific presentational effects may suffer; RPInfo's content and navigational value will remain accessible for all users.
