At Rensselaer, the Libraries constantly strive to identify new resources to support new Institute initiatives, and their recent subscription to the CSA Computer Information & Technology Collection, in support of Rensselaer's IT programs, is no exception.
Following a period of trial access, we have committed to a subscription to this new source, which provides complete coverage of research, emerging technologies, applications, and companies in all areas of computer science. This collection gathers outstanding bibliographic databases such as Computer & Information Systems Abstracts from CSA (1981- ), Computer Abstracts from Anbar Electronic Intelligence and MCB University Press (1993- ), Microcomputer Abstracts published by Information Today (1989- ), and SoftBase published by Information Sources, Inc (1985- ). The databases in the collection may be searched individually or all together to get comprehensive retrieval of a multidisciplinary topic. Updated monthly, approximately 45,000 new records are added per year, to a database that included over 736,590 records as of October 2001.
This new research tool can be accessed from the alphabetical list of databases in RensSearch, or from the list of Science databases under the Computer and Information Science section.
