Rensselaer Computer Repair is pleased to announce that Cherie Wetmiller joined the staff on December 13 to become the group's newest Computer Repair Specialist. Cherie brings an extensive technical background to the position, along with considerable experience in the technical units of Niagara Mohawk and Revco/CVS. Cherie, who holds factory authorizations for the Hewlett Packard, Okidata, and Lexmark printer lines, will be working out of VCC 115, located in the basement of the VCC.

Academic Support & Media Services has also seen some staff changes. Audio-Video technician Ismael Laboy, a matriculated student with the School of Engineering who has been with AS&MS since April of 1996, marked his last day with the department on Friday, January 7, in order to begin a cooperative assignment this month. AS&MS will miss Ish, as well as his outgoing and upbeat attitude. Best of luck, Ish!

On December 20, Academic Support & Media Services welcomed Jason Husch to their staff as an Audio-Video Technician. Located in Media Operations, Jay will provide support for set-up and operation of audiovisual, video and computer equipment for classroom use and special events, as well as training the campus community in its operation. Jay comes to Rensselaer from a variety of different positions. Most recently, he worked for Audio Video Corporation as a system installer. Welcome, Jay!

And last but certainly not least, please join Academic Computing Services in congratulating Ed Seeger, who began his new position as Manager of Educational Technology within ACS on January 1. Prior to accepting his new title, Ed had worked as a technical leader within the ET group since 1995, and ACS is happy to now welcome him into the management team. Congratulations, Ed!
