Starting this month, Rensselaer's Libraries will offer 18 subscribed titles from Annual Reviews in electronic format, allowing authorized users to access them from their offices, labs and dorms, as well as from remote locations. The on-line version allows searching by topic back to the 1980's, and access to full text from the mid-1990's (coverage may vary by title).
Annual Reviews provide systematic, periodic examinations of scholarly advances in a number of fields of science through critical authoritative reviews. The comprehensive critical review summarizes a topic, roots out errors of fact or concept, and provokes discussion that may lead to new research activity. The critical review is an essential part of the scientific method. By using Annual Reviews, you can investigate research activity in a given area over a given time frame.
Annual Reviews Inc., first published in 1932, was founded as a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping scientists the world over cope with the ever-increasing volume of scientific research and data in a growing number of disciplines.
