WebCT 2.0 offers more than 100 enhancements and new features and is easier to use than ever before. It also provides tighter integration with campuswide systems, improved on-line help, and links to a new community-oriented hub.
Bookmarks - The Bookmarks tool allows the instructor and students to create shortcuts to pages of course content. You can create bookmarks to frequently accessed course pages, and a list of bookmarks that contain shortcuts to pages on multiple course paths.
Assignment Dropbox - The Assignment Dropbox allows instructors to distribute course assignments to students. Instructors can attach files that contain related material to an assignment, such as photographs and spreadsheets. It also provides a place for students to submit assignments electronically to instructors for grading.
Site Map - The Site Map allows instructors and students to view the structure of the entire course on one page. The course elements appear as hyperlinks which enable you to go to any area of the course from a single page. The hyperlinks can be displayed as text, icons, or icons with text. The Site Map simplifies navigation and is especially useful for courses with many elements.
my WebCT - my WebCT is a central location where students can see a list of courses in which they are registered, and instructors can see a list of all the courses they are teaching. my WebCT allows you to access all of your courses from one page. Clicking on a particular course allows you to access that course without re-entering your user ID and password.
In addition to the customized list of courses, my WebCT also features the following links and functions:
Navigation Window - The Navigation Window allows instructors and students to place frequently used icons in a window that stays open as they navigate through their course. A user can click on an icon in the Navigation Window to immediately go to that area of the course.
