NAG Academic Site License Initiative
NAG Academic Site License Initiative
The NAG Academic Site License Initiative (ASLI) provides powerful software
tools to educational sites in a convenient and cost effective manner.
ASLI is available for UNIX workstations, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT,
and high-performance computing environments.
ASLI Packages
The core ASLI includes numerical libraries, portable compilers, scientific
3D visualization tools built on open standards, computer algebra, and
statistics software.
Environments
The core ASLI covers the following UNIX workstations and PC environments:
Alpha Linux
Alpha NT
Alpha UNIX
Hewlett Packard 9000
HP-UX
IBM RS/6000 AIX
Silicon Graphics IRIX
SUN OS
SUN Solaris
Intel LINUX
Windows 95
Windows 98
Windows NT
Software Products
The following products are included in the core ASLI:
- NAG FORTRAN 77 Library - worldÕs largest mathematical subroutine
library, containing 1,152 highly efficient, user-callable numerical subroutines
- NAG C Library - a suite of 275 numerical routines designed and
written in C, covering a wide range of mathematical and statistical functions
- NAG FORTRAN 90 Library - a library of routines designed to take
advantage of the powerful new features of FORTRAN 90
- NAG Parallel Libraries - libraries of numerical procedures
produced specifically for distributed memory parallel machines or networks
of workstations; available in MPI and PVM versions
- NAG FORTRAN 90/95 Compiler - the world's first compiler to
support the FORTRAN 90 ANSI/ISO standard; robust and stable
- IRIS Explorer - an object oriented scientific programming system
for visualizing, manipulating, and analyzing data, and for developing
scientific and engineering applications quickly and intuitively. Based on
OPEN/GL, and OPEN Inventor
- Axiom - a powerful symbolic algebra system providing an integrated
text, math, and graphics environment for the solution of many problems
expressed in mathematical terms
- Genstat - a full-featured statistical package providing basic
procedures plus advanced capabilities
- GLIM - statistical software concentrating on generalized linear
interactive modeling
