The DotCIO staff has seen a number of changes during the summer months.

After nearly ten years at Rensselaer, Kathy Bursese left her position in Server Support Systems to accept a position as Security Project Leader with General Electric in Schenectady.

A few weeks later, on June 1, Jamie Bridge marked his last day at RPI, in hopes of exploring his interests in teaching

Heather Whitehead has resigned her position as Science Librarian to take on new responsibilities as Reference Librarian at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado. She reports that the view of the Rockies from her apartment window is awesome.

Gretchen Koerpel has resigned as Assistant Institute Archivist to spend more time with her children and to work as an archivist consultant.

Larry Kammerer has resigned as Catalog/Reference Librarian to pursue other educational and personal goals.

Patrick Weklar is the new Electronic Resources Librarian. He earned his M.L.S. from UAlbany in December 2000. Prior to being named Digital Resources Librarian, Patrick worked as a library clerk in the Government Documents unit.

Sue Harris was hired as Sr. Library Clerk in the Rensselaer Research Libraries' administration office. And if Sue looks familiar, it might be that you recognize her from where she worked in her former department, Student Records and Financial Services.

The Research Libraries are pleased to announce the arrival of new Assistant Institute Archivist Elizabeth Putnam, who comes to Rensselaer from Skidmore College, where she held the position of Special Collections Associate for the past three years.

Last but not least, DotCIO also welcomes Networking & Communications' newest Technician, Michael Bishof.
