Placing Your HTML Files on RCS

Personal WWW files should be stored in a directory under your home directory created just for storing HTML files. This directory is normally named public_html.

Departments or clubs should place permanent files in a /dept directory on RCS or on their own WWW server.     Departments that need disk space for RPInfo-related work can request 50 MBs of disk space per department at no charge. (There is a charge for additional disk space above this allotment.) Fill out the ``RCS Departmental Disk Space Request" form available at the VCC Help Desk with the appropriate authorization. But, please first check the /dept directory in RCS to see if your department already has disk space.    Union-sponsored clubs can obtain 10 MB of free disk space on RCS by contacting the Union via electronic mail at union@rpi.edu.
