Including Images

Most Web browsers can display images, whether they're ones you have created yourself by scanning them in, or ones you found on-line which you have permission to use. The most common format used for computer images in the WWW is GIF.     

The most common way to get existing images, such as photographs, on line is to scan them. Some tips on scanning images appear in Section 4.3, Scanning Images.
