Description:

XESS is a full-functioned engineering and science spreadsheet program which contains full Xwindow support in a spreadsheet, plus special built-in functions for scientific computation, such as matrix operations and Fourier transforms. The program also supports high-quality graphics reports, C and Fortran programming interfaces, and more.


Getting Started:

The easiest way to start up XESS is to position the mouse cursor over the Xess: Spreadsheet Editor item in the RCS Applications menu on the screen, and click the left mouse button on this menu item. If you have selected it successfully, it should briefly appear highlighted in a black rectangle.

You may also start the package by typing xess & at a UNIX prompt.
