Changing Paragraph Styles in FrameMaker

FrameMaker can display a catalog, or listing, of pre-defined template or document paragraph styles. To do this, left-click on the small "paragraph" symbol located in the small strip of icons which runs vertically along the upper right side of the document window. A separate small Catalog window will appear.

To start a paragraph in a new style:

  1. Position the mouse cursor inside the main FrameMaker document window and press the Enter or Return key to move your text cursor to a new line.
  2. Left-click on the name of the desired paragraph style in the catalog window. (For example, to make another heading, left-click on Heading1.)

Be sure to move the mouse cursor back into the document window before typing text.
