Obtaining Hardcopy Results from DataExplorer

To begin the process of making a hardcopy from a DataExplorer entry:

  1. Activate the Options menu from the main image window and select Record Frames. A dialog box should appear.
  2. In the Image File: field, enter the filename under which you wish to save the rendered image.
  3. In the File Format: field, enter the appropriate file extension, which may be one of the following: 
    4. Format Specifier        File Type               Extension

 "tiff"                 TIFF compressed         .tiff
 "rgb"                  24-bit image data       .rgb
 "ps color"             Color Postscript        .ps
 "ps grey","ps gray"    Gray Scale Postscript   .ps
 "eps","eps color"      Color Encapsulated PS   .epsf
 "eps grey","eps gray"  Gray Scale Encap. PS    .epsf

    The rendered image will be saved under the specified filename, appended with the chosen file extension.

  4. Left-click on the Record button. Whenever a new image is rendered to the screen, it will also be written to the named file in the specified format.

    5. Return to ACS home page.
