Casey 81 Leads Electric Boat
Casey joined Electric Boat in 1979 and has held several positions including vice president of programs and site manager for Electric Boats Quonset Point facility. John is the consummate shipbuilder, said Michael Toner, General Dynamics executive vice president. He has excelled in a variety of key construction, program management, and finance assignments, giving him a deep appreciation of the company, its people, and their capabilities. A 1976 graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he earned a B.S. in civil engineering, Casey holds an MBA from Rensselaer and an M.S. in management from MIT's Alfred P. Sloan Fellows Program. He and his wife, Deirdre, live in Westerly, R.I. They have two children, both in college. Electric Boat employs more than 10,000, with primary operations at a shipyard in Groton, Conn., and an automated hull-fabrication and outfitting facility in Quonset Point, R.I. |
