| Rensselaer Affinity Groups Rensselaer Entrepreneur Network (ren): First established in New York City, with new groups being formed in New Jersey, Northern California, and Boston. Next events: Boston, Oct. 10; NYC, Nov. 6. Information Technology: Campus, regional events, and mentoring programs are currently under way, organized through an alumni leadership group. Next event: Boston, Nov. 19. Technology Law & Commercialization: for alumni in patent law, intellectual property, and licensing fields. The group was recognized with a Seal of Excellence Award from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education for its work with alumni, students, and the patent law community. Next event: Washington, D.C., Oct. 17. Building Trades: for alumni interested in continuous learning about building industry initiatives. Activities have taken place in Washington, D.C., and Boston. Next event: Boston, November. Biotechnology: Campus and regional events have focused on topics such as genomics and tissue engineering. |
