Several international events have taken place in the last few months, where alumni welcomed to their countries representatives of Rensselaer who presented updates on the progress of the Rensselaer Plan. In Hong Kong, alumni chapter president Alfred Li 73 hosted a reception at the China Club on March 7. Nearly 20 alumni and guests, including Rensselaer Professor of Computer Science Frank Luk, turned out to hear Dean of Science Joseph Flaherty present an update on the Rensselaer Plan. Nearly a dozen alumni gathered at the Sheraton Maria Isabel Hotel in Mexico City March 18 to welcome a Rensselaer delegation to Mexico that included the deans of engineering and graduate education, along with representatives from Rensselaers office of professional and distance education, and international advancement.
