RAA Seeks Award Nominations
Each year, hundreds of alumni volunteer for Rensselaer. Nominations are being sought to recognize these hard-working individuals through the Rensselaer Alumni Association awards program, which honors volunteers who have made significant contributions to the RAA and to the Institute.
Awards include:
Distinguished Service Award—This highest award recognizes distinguished
service by alumni or non-alumni, to Rensselaer, to a profession, to the
nation, or to humanity.
Albert Fox Demers Medal—Established to recognize and stimulate
interest in the welfare of the Institute by either alumni or non-alumni.
Alumni Key Award—Recognizes outstanding service supporting the
advancement of Rensselaer, by either alumni or non-alumni.
RAA Teaching Award—Recognizes members of the Rensselaer faculty
for outstanding teaching techniques, contributions to the campus experience,
and commitment to students.
Send nominations to Peter Pedone, Alumni Relations, 1301 Peoples Ave., Troy, NY 12180-3500, or e-mail pedonp@rpi.edu by Jan. 28, 2000. Include the nominee’s name, your name and phone number, the award you are nominating the individual for, and a brief rationale.

Training Sessions for 2000-2001 Reunion Volunteers
Join your Reunion 2000 or 2001 class committee at the next meeting of the reunion planning committees during Freakout weekend, Feb. 5, 2000. Get all the tips, tools, and support you’ll need to make your Reunion the best ever. All “official” committee members will receive free hockey and Ice House tickets as a thank you for their efforts.
