Rensselaer students were once again warned of the risks involved in downloading and sharing music files and other examples of copyright infringement. In a memo sent to all new and returning students Aug. 18, senior campus administrators advised them to “carefully evaluate your activities with computers and the Internet.” More

Herman Family Fellowship

Rensselaer’s Lally School of Management and Technology has awarded incoming MBA student Azmat Ahmad its prestigious Herman Family Fellowship for Women in Entrepreneurship. The prize supports up to two females enrolled in the Lally School’s MBA program each year, and helps them pursue their entrepreneurial interests. More

Rensselaer Gallagher Student Health Center has achieved accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Hirsch Observatory Visitors Get Close-up View of Mars

Just 34.65 million miles separated Mars and the Earth on Wednesday, Aug. 27 — the closest encounter in nearly 60,000 years. Hundreds of students, faculty, staff, their families, and area residents traveled to the Hirsch Observatory on the Jonsson-Rowland Science Center rooftop to get an up-close look. More
