Rensselaer at Hartford VP and Dean Looking
Forward to Welcome Reception
Alan
Eckbreth, the new vice president and dean of Rensselaer at Hartford,
will have an opportunity to meet the Hartford faculty and staff
on Thursday, Oct. 10, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. when he will be formally
welcomed to Rensselaer at an in-house reception hosted by President
Jackson. At a separate event later that evening, he will be introduced
to Hartford's business, educational, and political communities.
All of the Hartford faculty and staff have been
invited to the afternoon reception in the Seminar Hall area, where
refreshments will be served, said Lorraine Kammerer, assistant
in the vice president's office and the function's organizer.
Eckbreth
welcomes the opportunity to meet the Hartford community. "Talking
to a person is a good way of gauging someone's passion,"
said Eckbreth. "I've seen a lot of dedication to Rensselaer
among all of our staff. It's great to see that passion, because
once we get everyone running in the same direction toward a common
goal for Rensselaer, I don't think there's going to be anything
that will stop us from succeeding."
