Rensselaer's ninth annual Honors Convocation will
be held Friday, Nov. 1, at 4 p.m. in the Alumni Sports and Recreation
Center (Armory). The event, for the entire campus community, honors
students and faculty for their outstanding academic achievements.
The 2002 Founders Award, the ceremony's highest
honor, will be given to students who have been chosen for "creativity,
leadership, discovery, and the values of pride and responsibility."
The celebration also will honor Class of 2006 Rensselaer Medalists,
students with a 4.0 GPA, graduate student fellowship awardees,
and faculty award winners.

"The accomplishments of the faculty
and students we honor are significant and worthy of commendation.
They remind us that by honoring scholarship, teaching, research,
and learning, we reaffirm the crucial role of these pursuits
in the life of our Institute."
