Talks To Address Issues in Biotechnology
Entrepreneurship
The founders of two successful biotech companies
will share their insights as part of a new seminar series
that will address issues in entrepreneurship in the life
sciences and biotechnology industry. Jonathan Dordick, the
Howard P. Isermann '42 Professor of Chemical Engineering
at Rensselaer, and Thomas D'Ambra, founder of Albany Molecular
Research, will deliver a talk titled "Scientists and
Businessmen: Building a Biotechnology Company" on Wednesday,
Feb. 13 at 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Room 5114 of the Pittsburgh
Building. The public is welcome.
"As biotechnology initiatives
around the world build momentum, it is critical we increase
awareness of these opportunities and challenges for
the students and faculty of Rensselaer."

The Biotechnology Entrepreneurship Seminar
Series, which is hosted by the Lally School of Management
and Technology and the Severino Center for Technological
Entrepreneurship, will present talks by bioentrepreneurs,
corporate executives, government officials, and Rensselaer
faculty.
"As biotechnology initiatives around

assistant professor of biotechnology management and the
series organizer.
