Venture Opportunity Competition Winners
Announced
Five teams have been selected as winners
of this year's Venture Opportunity Competition (VOC).
The VOC is the precursor to the Rensselaer-Lucent
$25,000 Student
Business Plan Competition held in April. The winning
teams received $1,000 that they can use toward further business
development.

The five winning business plans were: Carminic
Acid Solutions Inc., a genetically engineered food colorant;
Mother Guard, a wireless physiology monitor for pregnant
women; Smart Parking, a technological system to improve
parking lot efficiency; STD Home Test, a diagnostic home
test for sexually transmitted disease; and the Ultra 3-D
Workstation, a 3-D ultrasound imaging upgrade system.
