Ben & Jerry's Co-Founder To Lecture
During GM Week
Jerry
Greenfield, co-founder of Ben & Jerry's Homemade Inc.,
will present "An Evening of Entrepreneurial Spirit,
Social Responsibility, and Radical Business Philosophy."
The speech, free and open to the public, will take place
7 p.m. on Friday, April 5.
Greenfield is co-author, along with partner
Ben Cohen, of Ben & Jerry's Double Dip: Lead With
Your Values and Make Money, Too. The pair built a storefront
venture into an $160 million ice-cream empire by making
social responsibility and creative management strengths
instead of weaknesses.
Greenfield's lecture kicks off Grand Marshal
Week, April 5-14, a weeklong celebration that focuses on
student government elections for the next school year.
A day off from school, on Wednesday, April
10, and a string of student activities across campus also
will mark the occasion.
Most of the more than 100 student organizations
in the Rensselaer Union have plans for the week. For more
information, contact the Student Union at ext. 6505 or go
