Why did you choose to enroll at Rensselaer?
Abstract answer: because I just got a good feeling about it...
Slightly more concrete answer: because I liked the idea of being in a technical atmosphere and being surrounded by other techies. Also when choosing colleges I had a "grass factor" requirement... and there was plenty of grass on the RPI campus.
What are some benefits of being part of the ITWS Community at Rensselaer?
Many/infinite/too-many-to-handle. Because the program is so small and tightly knit. This makes it easier to get to know peers, professors, and staff. It makes it easier to find answers when you need help. The IT community also has benefits that don't need explaining like a lab space with couches and snacks...
What would you tell a prospective student about choosing Rensselaer?
Trust your instincts when picking a school! Specific facts about each school comes first, like number of students, location, costs, etc -- these are the things that make you decide you want to visit a school. If you're already considering Rensselaer I assume it passes all/most of your preliminary requirements, so all you have to do now is visit and absorb.
What are your hobbies/interests/special talents?
Rock climbing, mountain biking, running, yoga.
