Why did you choose to enroll at Rensselaer?
Someone who I admired and trusted mentioned that her husband had many respects for Rensselaer. Little did I know, that respect opened my eyes to a whole new world I did not know existed. Rensselaer has a reputation for accelerating their students' careers within industry. Companies who are looking to hire, they turn to Rensselaer. After finding this out, I had to visit. Traveling from 60 degrees in Texas to 30-40 degrees in New York, I wasn't immediately turned off. I told myself, I actually prefer the cold. You can always add more layers on. It wasn't until I met the people and community that made it the deciding factor for me. Everyone is nice, intelligent, and always willing to help. The motto, "Why not change the world?" is a testament to everyone gathering together to achieve something that is unachievable for oneself. Why did I choose to enroll at Rensselaer? Because I wanted to change the world alongside the people that would surround me.

What are some benefits of being part of the ITWS Community at Rensselaer?
The ITWS community at Rensselaer is a group diverse enthusiastic individuals that can bridge the communication gap between a common user and a technical person. There are many resources that are available, a few are: ITWS Lab, Meeting Rooms, Extensible Alumni Network, and Professors that have been in the industry. The last two are the most valuable assets the IT community has. Students are able to receive insights into how the industry operates. The ITWS Program is a program that has a history of being created for they students with the students. ITWS Student Leadership works alongside faculty, staff, and industry advisors to make sure that the program is constantly "up-to-date" and to ensure that the program remains relevant.

What would you tell a prospective student about choosing Rensselaer?
Choosing RPI is not just about the cost or location. It's about the type of education you will receive, the experiences that will evolve you as a person, the skills you develop as a leader, but most importantly, the opportunities that you will get before and after graduation.

What are your hobbies/interests/special talents?
I like food. I like eating. I like finding good restaurants. I like cooking. Pretty much, I'm a foodie. I also like to explore and discover new places, scenes, cultures, and lifestyles.
