Brooktrout Lake: Ephemeral Streams

Tributary System

The most recent work introduced on Brooktrout involves an analysis of the tributary syste.. Brooktrout is fed by an ephemeral stream system that has never been mapped before. Researchers from the Keck Water Research Lab along with DFWI have set out to map this system in hopes to gain a better understanding as to how they affect the Brooktrout ecosystem as a whole. By the Fall of 2010, the team managed to locate 5 significant streams and 3 rounds of water chemistry analysis have been completed to date
