Research Assistant - Keck Water Research Lab
Christine Goodrich has been working with Darrin Freshwater Institute for three years on various projects relating to Lake George and the lakes in the Adirondack Park. Her experience at the institute sparked an interest in limnology and ecology that she had not previously realized. Over time her love for nature and the environment grew through her explorations at Institute in Bolton Landing and also at the Keck Water Research Lab located on campus.
Her future goals include studying lake ecology in the Adirondack region of New York using her mathematics degree and her experience with biology and ecology at the Institute. She has been accepted into the Multidisciplinary Science PhD Program (entering Fall 2013) and plans to work with Dr. Brad Lister and Dr. Peter Kramer. Her ultimate goal is to analyze, strengthen, and revitalize Earth’s water resources.
In addition to her scientific endeavours, Christine tutors at Sage College of Albany and enjoys swimming, traveling, and rainy days.
