Freshwater Ecology |
Quantitative examination of major biological fresh water communities. Delineation of the physical and chemical regimes under which aquatic organisms exist. Basic limnological processes will be studied in several Adirondack lakes, including Lake George, to define aquatic systems of differing physical characteristics. Nutrient chemistry analysis of lakes of varying acidity, akalinity, and chemical loadings will be related to their lake trophic status and biological diversity. |
