implementation groups

Numerous Implementation Groups will be formed and disbanded during the course of the data warehouse project. Each committee will consist of a small group of Institute constituencies charged with a specific set of goals.

Implementation groups are listed in the table below. Clicking on the name of the implementation group allows you to view more details, including a list of members.

Faculty Access
Implementation Group
Formed: Jul 2004		 The Faculty Access Implementation Group will identify the requirements for the Faculty Access application that ties together numerous data marts into a cohesive application for faculty and researchers to review and manage their research and other funding.
ERD Replacement
Implementation Group
Formed: Jun 2004		 The ERD Replacement Implementation Group will identify the specific requirements for replacing the existing Electronic Report Distribution (ERD) mechanism with information derived directly from the data warehouse.
Student Financial Aid
Implementation Group
Formed: May 2004		 The Student Financial Aid Implementation Group will identify the requirements for the Student Financial Aid (SFA) Data Mart. Members of this group will also assist in the development, implementation, testing, and rollout of these data marts.
Research Administration
Implementation Group
Formed: Mar 2004		 The Research Administration Implementation Group will identify the requirements for the Research Administration Data Mart. Members of this group will also assist in the development, implementation, testing, and rollout of these data marts.
Enrollment Management
Implementation Group
Formed: Dec 2003		 The Enrollment Management Implementation Group will identify the requirements for the Admissions Data Mart. Members of this group will also assist in the development, implementation, testing, and rollout of these data marts.
Graduate Financial Aid
and Enrollment
User Group
Formed: Mar 2003		 The Graduate Financial Aid & Enrollment User Group will identify the requirements for both the Graduate Financial Aid (GFA) Data Mart and the Enrollment Data Mart. Members of this group will also assist in the development, implementation, testing, and rollout of these data marts.
Position Control
Focus Group
Formed: Feb 2003		 Chaired by Eileen McLoughlin, the goal of the Position Control Focus Group is to identify operational and data-related issues discovered throughout the implementation of the Position Control Data Mart.
Position Control
Test Group
Formed: Jan 2003		 The Position Control Test Group reviews and tests the data models of the Position Control Data Mart by using the Brio Insight plugin.
Data Policy
Committee
Formed: Feb 2002		 Chaired by Sharon Kunkel, the Data Policy Committee work on developing guidelines and policies regarding data availability and security.
Financial Analysis
Reviewer Group
Formed: Jan 2002		 The Financial Analysis Reviewer Group is charged with analyzing and reviewing the resulting Financial Analysis Data Mart scheduled for production rollout in July 2002.
Financial Analysis
Implementation Group
Formed: Jan 2002		 Nominated to assist with the implementation of the Financial Analysis Data Mart, members of this committee clarify requirements, define the common business terms used to describe the data, participate in Institute-wide training, and encourage Institute users to obtain information from the data mart scheduled for production rollout in July 2002.
