Caelynn holds an MS in Curriculum Development and Instructional Technology from the University at Albany. With experience working in various areas of higher education, including admissions, development, and alumni relations, her focus has narrowed to pedagogy and learning technologies. As a course developer, she provides support for both distance and on-campus hybrid/blended courses. She also assists faculty with technology integration into coursework. Her previous experience with web management and development, volunteer management and training, as well as event management and planning serve her well in her role supporting RPI students and faculty with their use of the RPILMS and educational technologies.

• Participated in review team for Blackboard exemplary course project

• Consult with faculty and staff on learning management system and course delivery technology use and troubleshooting

• Created and implemented a revitalized alumni relations program for the college including a unique reunion cycle; expanded benefits to alumni through on and off campus partners

Self-paced online course for instructors considering the use of social networking sites in their courses. This site was built in a Wiki.

  • Created course design and content
  • Contains valuable online references and tutorials related to using social networking sites in general and in educational contexts

Website with introductory Anthropology activities including web quests and concept maps for human origins coursework.

  • Contains samples of web-based learning activities and web-based lesson plans

Bennington College 75th Anniversary Celebration and alumni webpages

  • Member of a team that created and managed alumni site content and content layout (not template)

PowerPoint slideshow converted to a silent short film for a local community center fundraiser

  • Created all slides and slide layouts, transitions, and effects
  • The use of DVD format was a creative effort to overcome the problem of needing a way to visually display the role of the Community Center over the last year, but not having access to specific software and not wanting to deal with a computer during an event.
