Wind Turbine Performance Enhancement


Thermal EnergyWind turbine energy is the fastest growing segment of the renewable energy technologies with over 36 GW of installed capacity in the US and 160 GW worldwide. CFES research areas include turbine blade design enhancement and testing in our wind tunnel to reduce vibration and fatigue load; power conversion and conditioning to improve efficiency and improve compatibility with the electric utility grid.
