Advanced Lighting Technologies


researchersCFES is working with researchers from the Smart Lighting Engineering Research Center and the Rensselaer Lighting Research Center (LRC) on novel compound semiconductor material development, device technology, and systems Lightingapplications to further the understanding and proliferation of smart lighting. Lighting is a complex industry in the midst of a critical transition. New technologies such as solid-state lighting present great opportunities to more efficiently use electrical energy and substantially reduce the need for new power plants.
