The Center for Future Energy Systems is one of 15 NYSTAR-designated Centers for Advanced Technology across New York State.

A collaborative effort amongst Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Cornell University, and Brookhaven National Laboratory, the Center for Future Energy Systems will meet the energy challenges of the 21st century by focusing on research in fuel cells, smart lighting, smart displays, hydrogen, and renewable energy systems.
