Rensselaer ’s interdisciplinary approach to science and engineering applies to the arts as well. As part of the Five Frontiers of Excellence, disciplines such as The Electronic Media, Arts, and Communication (EMAC) program, the Integrated Electronic Arts at Rensselaer (iEAR), and Cognitive Science and Arts often overlap with most academic disciplines to produce extraordinary results. Adding significantly to this strong foundation is the Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC), a facility without peer in the world.
