“There has been a lot of talk over the years about better athletic facilities at Rensselaer. Our student-athletes certainly deserve them. But how are we going to do it? During the past six years, under The Rensselaer Plan, we have invested more than $500 million in campus improvements and rehabilitation of classrooms, laboratories, public spaces, residence halls, and yes, in athletic facilities. We have more to do, but we cannot do it alone."
"As the famed Vince Lombardi once said, ‘Individual commitment to a group effort—that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work…a civilization work.’ I say to you, friends and alumni of Rensselaer: if you will partner with us in your commitment to provide the funds, we will make the commitment to build the athletic facilities."
