PHYS-6530

Quantum Mechanics III

Relativistic wave equations. Commutation relations and the quantization of free fields. Spin and statistics of Bose and Fermi fields. Interacting fields and commutation relations. Interaction representation and S-matrix perturbation theory. Renormalization theory and applications in quantum electrodynamics. Prerequisite: PHYS-6520. Fall term annually.
