PHYS-6110

Methods in Theoretical Physics

Vector calculus and partial differential equations, especially with applications to electrodynamics. Separation of variables and second-order differential equations. Sturm-Liouville theory with applications to special functions. Complex analysis and conformal mapping. Green functions and boundary value problems. Fall term annually.
