PHYS-4210

Electromagnetic Theory

Field theory of electricity and magnetism with emphasis on solving boundary value problems. Dielectric and magnetic materials. Maxwell’s equations and wave propagation with applications to optics. Relativistic electrodynamics. Prerequisite: MATH-2400 and PHYS-1200. Spring term annually.
