Composites Laboratory

Fabrication and characterization of composite materials and structures. Characterization techniques include strength, stiffness, adhesive shear strength, coefficient of thermal expansion, and differential thermal analysis. A short design project involving a composite structure is carried out. Laboratory sessions are complemented by a weekly lecture. Prerequisite: ENGR-1600. Spring term.
