Business Models for Digital Enterprises
This course is designed as a survey introduction of the range of topics in an e-business. It will consider both entrepreneurial and ongoing organizations. It considers examples of both entrepreneurial approaches and innovation within established companies in areas such as business-to-business (B2B) trends and business-to-consumer (B2C) or e-commerce. Topics include: supply chain management, customer resource planning, enterprise and venture capital, organizational design and virtual firms, security and privacy, finance and valuation, and implementation of e-business technologies and strategies in existing firms. The course will evolve due to the varied interests of participants and changes in the e-business marketplace. Prerequisites: MGMT-1100, MGMT- 2300, MGMT-2320, MGMT-4140 or equivalent information technology course, or permission of the instructor. Fall term annually.
