Dynamic analysis and control of multibody mechanical systems. Review of dynamic analysis using Newton-Euler and Lagrange formulations of equations of motion. Introduction to dynamic analysis using Kanes Method. Comparison of the methods for formulating equations of motion. Computer-aided control system analysis and design using root-locus, frequency-response, and state-space analysis and design methods. Introduction to linear quadratic control and robust/H control. Prerequisites: ENGR-4050, MANE-4170. Offered on availability of faculty.
